The Message Of Rosh Hashanah

Rosh Hashanah the Jewish New Year is the first of the High Holidays or Yamim Noraim celebrated 10 days before Yom Kippur.
Rosh Hashana is the beginning of a new year in Hebrew calendar.
First Minister Alex Salmond said: "Across Scotland we are Jewish communities before Rosh Hashanah - the Jewish New Year, also known as the Feast of Trumpets.
I am pleased, on behalf of the Scottish Government and the people of Scotland wish you all "Chana Tova umetukah 'a good and sweet year.
Rosh Hashanah is a solemn occasion, a moment of introspection and reflection both personally and collectively, on the success of last year and the challenges of the coming year.
It is also the perfect opportunity for all Scots to the valuable contribution of the Scottish Jewish community for making our nation to think.
The ram's horn used as a trumpet - - How you are called on Rosh Hashanah, the shofar by the call, I hope that all your prayers appropriate for one year peaceful, prosperous, efficient and gentle, and said, "have Ketiva chatima Towa "(can be written in the Book of Life for a good year).
